Paulo Germano

I’m here to make your music sound better than ever!

Hello! I’m PG, your mixing engineer

My name is Paulo Germano but I’m often called PG. I’m a studio guy since 1998 when I started working as a recording engineer and quickly started mixing as well. I have huge passion for anything related to audio and I’m always striving to push the boundaries of what is possible.

I understand the importance of working closely with artists and producers to bring their vision to life, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my clients are satisfied with the final product.

One thing I really like about online mixing is the access it gives me to different genres and cultures. It’s an invaluable experience that has enriched my sound. During my career, I’ve worked with a variety of genres, from simple piano and vocal recordings to highly produced pop songs and everything in between. When I have some time, I like to participate in mixing competitions as they are a very interesting way to learn. You can see how other engineers approach the same song, and it’s a great opportunity to improve my skills even more. I’ve even won a few of these contests! The last one I won was the “Produce Like a Pro November 2022 Mixing Contest”

Why Should You Hire Me ?

Mixing and mastering are the last and most crucial steps in your production. A great mix (along with a great song, of course 😀 ), can greatly improve your chances of being noticed in the endless ocean of new music being released daily on all platforms. You’ve already invested money in the production and recording stages, and now it’s time to hire someone who can bring everything together and maximize the potential of your recordings.

That’s where I come in. With years of experience mixing records of all genres, from jazz to rock, pop, world music, country and so on, I want to use my skills and trained ear to help you achieve your goals with your music. Your record will be there forever, and I’m confident you want to be proud of it, not ashamed. Let me help you create a mix you’ll be proud of

Portfolio

Here you can find some examples mixes  that I did for some amazing artists around the world. These reels are short length samples of a variety of songs that I loved working on each detail. It’s a great way to show how I work across different genres

There’s also some full songs so you can check them from start to finish without any interruption.

Mixing

I’ll prepare the session and will start mixing on the scheduled date. The turnaround time is no more than 3 days.

Download

When the mix is ready, I’ll send a link to a high quality audio file for you to download. Now take some time to listen to the mix carefully.

After listening to the first delivery, feel free to send any revisions requests. The mix is only done when you’re happy.

Final Delivery

After the final approval, I’ll send the final file in all formats that you may need.

Enjoy/Release

Now your track is ready for distribution on any streaming platform or CD print (if needed)

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to finish a mix?

My standard delivery is 3 days, but depending on how my schedule is, it can be less than that, but not more.

How do I send the files to you ?

If you use Cubase or Pro Tools, you can send me your session. Just be sure to export any virtual instrument track to audio before sending the session. If you use other DAW Like Logic, Studio One, Reaper, you can export all tracks as WAV (or AIFF) format at the same sample rate/bit depth you recorded. No need to convert to send to me.

When exporting the files, should I keep the effects ?

If the effect is absolutely necessary to the sound you want, keep it. Like a guitar amp simulation or a reverb / delay you may like. Other than that, send the files raw.

How many revisions do I get ?

The mix is only done when you are happy with the result.  Usually 2 or 3 revisions are more than enough to acheive your vision.

Testimonials

Shane Cormier

Film Composer

As a TV/Film composer and music director, I have worked with many sound engineers over the years in Los Angeles and Nashville, Paulo is now the only mix and mastering engineer I trust with my productions. He simply understand exactly what the industry wants to hear in a mix and master.

Angelika

Producer

I am amazed by Paulo’s quality mix. I am very particular, my music is acoustic and subtle, so the mix was crucial. Paulo is so good to work with, very efficient, friendly, supportive communication, professional in every way, but most of all he has that special ear and special sense
